A big warm heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to see us at Kouamo for the Cockpit Arts Christmas Open Studios. This year there was a competition for the best decorated studio. The buildings in Holborn and Deptford were both brimming over with festive charm, not to mention the delicious waft of mulled wine drifting down the corridors! Here is our news from this years event...

A season of festive Winter shows starts for us this month at Kouamo with Country Living Christmas Fair, Strawberry Hill Christmas Art & Design Fair and culminating with the fabulous Cockpit Open Studios at both Holborn and Deptford.

Our new Travel Journals make a perfect present and are set to be Kouamo’s hottest Christmas design. With 170 other mastercrafters at Cockpit Arts we decided to take a sneak peek in some of the other studios to pick handcrafted and innovative gifts for our own wish-list.

We love the London Design Festival at Kouamo - the capital always celebrates creativity in style. For the festival this year, Kouamo was invited by the French Antiques Dealers of Lillie Road to create a showcase of our travel inspired textiles. A series of pieces featuring our Bangou Esplanade (Ferrous) print will be on show at Barbe-Despas, No 315 Lille Road, from 17 September to 15 October.

This June we’re delighted to be showing at both Holborn and Deptford Open Studios - with 170 talented designer-makers exhibiting to celebrate Cockpit Arts 30th Birthday. As well as showcasing our current Kouamo collections, at Holborn we will give a talk about 'Confident Colour' each day at 12pm and 3pm.

This September Kouamo was invited to take part in an exciting pop-up shop / exhibition at Craft Central for the London Design Festival. Material Consequences aimed to showcase the beauty in our most commonly used resources and visitors really enjoyed taking a glimpse into the artistic processes involved in the production of the work on show.
