New Year New Shows

This year we’re excited to be spreading our wings a little further, with new stockists and showcases for Kouamo designs.  Here are just a few of our forthcoming shows and events, so do save the dates and watch this space for more news coming soon.

Pop Up at Arnotts, Dublin

20 February - 5 March 2017

Kouamo has been invited by the Department of International Trade to showcase our travel inspired designs within Arnotts (pictured above), the prestigious Selfridges-owned department store in Central Dublin.  This special Arnotts Pop-up will feature a group of leading designers and artisan producers from London.

We’re particularly excited about sampling the delicious range by Urban Village Chocolates (pictured below) in a mesmerising array of bold colours and contemporary patterns. Also high on our list to see are stylish candles by Sevin and the luxuriously snug Shearling throws and accessories by Wildash London.

This will be Kouamo’s first ever foray into Ireland. We’re looking forward to exploring the cobbled streets and classic pubs of Dublin, meeting new people and sharing our collections at a reception hosted by The British Ambassador.

Confident Colour at The Decor Café

22 March 2017

Closer to home, we are involved in a talk for The Decor Café network in conjunction with colour psychologist Karen Haller. The Decor Cafe is a collaborative community that provides an online hub of experts and useful sources and resources. The network also has a growing programme of workshops and events.

We are excited to learn more from Karen Haller, a leading international authority in the field of applied colour psychology, specialising in business brand colour, interiors, healthcare and wellbeing. She will explore how colour affects us, influences us and how businesses and designers can use it to influence behaviour.

As one of The Decor Café’s Colour Experts, Julie will also share her experiences of using colour with confidence  - providing inspiration and support to those who want to make more of their home.

We’re very excited to be previewing designs from a new Kouamo collection inspired by our travels in Bali, Indonesia at the Cockpit Open Studios. Be ready for delicious new patterns and colourways, influenced by the vibrant culture and landscape in Bali as well as more subtle designs which capture the experience of more spiritual regions such as Ubud.

The Open Studios are a great chance to see new designs, take a sneak peek behind-the-scenes and support independent designer-makers. With 170 of the UK’s finest craftspeople taking part - you can pick up distinctive and one-off designs spanning furniture, lighting, jewellery, fashion accessories, clothing, ceramics, silverware and more.
